Overview
The Main Edge Screen is the central navigation hub of Retail Edge. From this screen you can access all main system functions including POS, Customers, Stock Management, Services, Reports, and Administration tools.

POS
Clicking POS opens the Point-of-Sale window where sales transactions are processed. This is where you will process sales, access customer accounts, manage repairs, customs, and special orders, and process deposits, payments, and pickups.
Customer Menu
The Customer menu contains all functions related to managing customer accounts.
- Find: Search the customer database by name, phone number, email, or customer number.
- Labels: Print mailing labels for customer addresses.
- Export: Extract customer data as an Excel/CSV file for marketing campaigns, mailing lists, or system integration. Choose For Mailing (traditional posting) or For Other (general export).
- Email: Send emails to selected customers directly through Edge. Requires a private domain email address with appropriate SPF allowances. Public domains such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail are not supported.
- SMS: Send SMS messages to customers. Requires integration with an approved SMS provider.
- Statements: Generate customer monthly statements for accounts with balances.
- Aged Balances: View outstanding balances owed by customers.
- Gift Vouchers – Find: Search for gift vouchers and view their status (Valid, Redeemed, or Expired).
- Communications – Find: Search logged communications recorded in the Customer Communications tab.
- Loyalty Points – Find: Search customers based on their loyalty points balance.
Stock Menu
The Stock menu contains all inventory management functions.
Stock
- Find Stock: Locate items by Stock # (SKU), design number, supplier, or department.
- Add: Manual entry of stock items.
- Initial Assembly: Create an assembled item and add it to inventory.
- Manuf. Job: Create items manufactured in-house.
- Audit Report: View or reprint reports for invoices entered in The Edge.
- Invoice Entry: Enter supplier invoices to add stock into inventory.
- Return to Supplier: Remove items from inventory when returning them to suppliers.
- Negative QOH: Report showing items with negative quantities on hand.
- Value “As At”: Inventory valuation report showing opening balance, transactions, and closing balance.
- Return Appro: Return approval stock to the supplier.
- Change Department: Move an item to a different department.
- Find Sales: Report showing item sales by supplier, department, invoice, or other criteria.
Store Transfers
- Instant IST: Immediate inter-store transfer.
- Send Items: Move items to Committed status for transfer.
- In Transit Report: Shows items transferred but not yet received.
- Receive Items: Receive transferred items into inventory.
- Create / Edit / Action Requests: Request, modify, or approve stock transfers between stores.
Purchase Orders
- Entry by Stock # / Supplier: Create purchase orders by item or supplier.
- Rapid Reorder: Generate a PO based on recent sales.
- Stock Review: Generate suggested reorder lists.
- Close / Delete PO: Close completed or remove unwanted purchase orders.
- PO Report: View reports showing PO status.
Other Stock Functions
- Print Tickets: Print batches of product tickets previously queued.
- Print Signage: Print promotional signage for sales displays.
- Stocktake: Start or manage inventory stocktakes within Edge.
Services Menu
Used to manage repairs, customs, special orders, and valuations.
- Find – Repair / Custom: Search repairs, custom jobs, and manufacturing jobs.
- Find – Special Orders: Search and manage special orders.
- Find – Valuations: Search and manage valuation records.
- Find – Lost Sales: Report showing logged lost sales.
- Move Envelope: Move repair/custom envelopes to the next location.
- Done: Mark repairs or custom jobs as completed.
- Web Orders: Find, process unprocessed orders, or check the eWeb portal for new orders.
Reports Menu
The Reports menu provides access to reporting across different system areas.
Activity Reports
- Activity Report (AR): Transaction summary for a selected period.
- Daily: Detailed daily transaction breakdown.
- Misc Sales / Trades / Returns: Reports on miscellaneous sales, trade-ins, and returned items.
- Tender Card Reports: Search for tender card transactions and balances.
Stock Reports
- Transactions: Report on stock movements including stock added, returns, and transfers.
- Sign Locations: Shows where sale signage is located in the store.
Customer Reports
- Base List / Occasions / Wish Lists / Top ‘n’: Various customer demographic and behaviour reports.
- Layby Details / Customer Account / Layby / Store Credit: Reports on layby, account, and store credit activity.
Repair / Custom Reports
- Amounts Due / Due Date / Waiting Parts: Jobs with outstanding balances, upcoming due dates, or pending parts.
- Liability / Breakdown / Jeweller Performance: Location, labour detail, and jeweller productivity reports.
Miscellaneous
- Sales – Find: Search sales by customer or date.
- Time Clock: Employee time tracking — sign in, sign out, and view hours worked reports.
