Reviewing and Reprinting Receipts


Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for reviewing and reprinting receipts in the POS system. It covers how to locate receipts by customer or date range, as well as how to reprint or email them. These processes are designed to ensure efficient transaction management and enhance customer service.

Reviewing Receipts by Customer

If you know who the customer is, you can access their receipts through the POS system:

  1. Open the POS Screen
  2. Click Find Cust
  3. Enter the search criteria for the Customer and Click OK

  1. Find and Select the Customer row in the Grid Screen and Click Select

Note: You can also double click the customer row in the Grid Screen

  1. Click Cust. Details

  1. Navigate to the Activity Tab

  1. Locate the Receipt / Item in the Grid Screen and Select the Line
  2. Click See Sale to open the sale in the format of your receipts.

Reviewing Receipts by Date or Timeframe

If you do not know the customer’s details or are searching for receipts within a specific date range using the Review Receipt Function. This can be accessed via the POS or The Edge Main Screen

Via The Edge Main Screen

  • Navigate to Misc > Sales > Find

Via the POS Screen

  • Click the Review Receipt button on your POS screen.

Set Search Parameters

There are multiple search parameters to narrow down your results.

  • Sale Number: This is The Edge Receipt Number
  • Old Sale #: This is the Receipt Number from a previous system if you have converted data
  • Sale Date: The date the sale is recorded as occurring (This may differ from the date the sale was processed if the sale was backdated).
  • Sold To: If you have the customers name or other criteria (pressing the down arrow will open the customer search criteria box)
  • Sold By: The Salesperson who was recorded against the sale
  • Store: The Store the sale was recorded against.
  • Station: Which POS/Station the sales was processed at
  • Include Quotes: This will include any quotes that were processed with the same criteria set.




Browse the List of Receipts

A list of matching receipts will be displayed. You can either double-click a sale line in the Grid Screen or highlight a row and click the Details button at the bottom Left Corner.

Reviewing, Reprinting, or Emailing Receipts

Once the receipt window is open, regardless of whether it was accessed through the Activity tab or the Review Receipt function:

  • To reprint the receipt, click the Print button.
  • To email the receipt, click Email

Note: Ensure you have the customer’s email address and that your system is set up for email functionality through Edge. Otherwise, the email button will not be visible
